Lazard Completes Campbell Lutyens Deal, Launches Lazard CL Advisory Unit
Lazard finalizes its acquisition of Campbell Lutyens and unveils Lazard CL, positioning the combined firm as a global private capital advisory leader.
Lazard, Inc. completed its acquisition of Campbell Lutyens on Nov. 2, 2026, and simultaneously launched Lazard CL, a new entity the firm is billing as the global leader in private capital advisory, the New York- and London-based financial advisory company announced Monday.
The transaction was first disclosed on April 30, 2026, giving the deal roughly six months to close. The completion marks a significant expansion of Lazard's alternative asset and private capital capabilities at a moment when institutional demand for private markets advisory services has grown sharply across pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, and endowments worldwide.

The move reflects broader consolidation trends in the financial advisory sector, where bulge-bracket and independent firms alike have raced to build out private markets capabilities as fee pools in traditional investment banking have faced cyclical pressure. Lazard, which trades on the New York Stock Exchange under the ticker LAZ, has pursued a strategy of targeted acquisitions to deepen specialist expertise rather than pursue large-scale mergers.
