Sentral Expands to Fort Lauderdale, Adds San Diego Property
Residential-hospitality operator Sentral enters Fort Lauderdale and grows its San Diego footprint, bringing its total reach to 22 markets.
Sentral, a Denver-based residential-hospitality operator, announced two new communities joining its portfolio on Oct. 30, 2026, extending the company's national footprint to 22 markets. The additions mark the brand's entry into the Fort Lauderdale market while deepening its presence in San Diego.
The San Diego property, known as Diega and located at 702 Broadway in the downtown core, represents one of the two landmark communities cited in the announcement. The simultaneous Fort Lauderdale debut signals Sentral's continued strategy of targeting high-demand urban and coastal markets where residents seek a blend of apartment living and hotel-style services.

Sentral positions itself as a full-building operator, meaning it manages entire residential communities rather than individual units, a model that distinguishes it from traditional multifamily landlords and short-term rental platforms. The dual announcement reflects an accelerating pace of expansion for the company, which has grown to span more than two dozen markets across the United States.
The company's growth into Fort Lauderdale adds a major South Florida metro to a portfolio that already spans both coasts. Analysts tracking the residential-hospitality sector have noted rising demand for amenity-rich, flexible-lease housing in Sun Belt cities, a trend that appears to be driving operators like Sentral toward markets with strong population inflows and tourism infrastructure.
